Geneva G. Powell, 91, of Victoria, Va went to be with her lord and savior on Dec. 11, 2016. Geneva was the former owner and operator of the Dutch Treat Restaurant and Banquet Hall, Victoria’s 1994 citizen of the year, past president of Ladies auxiliary VFW post 9954, member of Victoria Chamber of Commerce and Victoria Baptist Church. Geneva loved to garden and interior decorating. She is survived by her son Larry Powell (Lana), granddaughter Tracy Soble (Eric), great-grandson Jake Soble all of Richmond, Va, sister Corene Knicely and beloved niece Sheila. Memorial services will be held Sunday, Dec. 18, at 2pm in the Staples Funeral Home, Victoria.
