Luke Rakes, 9, of Crewe, Va. started golfing, hunting and fishing in Heaven on June 4, 2017. He is survived by his parents, Johnny and Valerie Rakes; brother, Kevin Ray Powell and sister Scarlett Rakes all of Crewe; grandparents, Nancy and Ronnie Cash, David and Zana Rakes, HB and Jean Coghill, Tony and Mary Lee Overby; best friend Cody Wayne Davis. The family will receive friends at the Clarke Funeral Home in Kenbridge on Wednesday, June 7, from 6:00 to 8:00PM. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Crewe Baptist Church. Interment in the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Burkeville, Va.
